William 'Bill' Prater

42 year old, William ‘Bill’ Prater, of Rensselaer, went missing July 7, 2020, his remains were discovered on February 27, 2021.

On August 21, 1978, William ‘Bill’ was born to the late Oliver Prater and Sally (nee: Cleveland) (Lee) Vitoux in Valparaiso, Indiana. Bill worked as a laborer. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, and fishing. Bill especially enjoyed mushroom hunting. Bill loved his faithful companion, his dog ‘Tank’.

Bill is survived by his mother: Sally (Lee) Vitoux, and a host of many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father: Oliver Prater.

Per Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life, will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Services will be conducted by Pastor Craig Smith.
