92 year old, Wanda Gulbransen of Wheatfield passed away January 18, 2018.
On October 1, 1925, in North Tonawanda, New York, Wanda was born to Martin and Rose (Swierk) Dudka. Wanda graduated from Tefft High School, and has been a lifetime area resident. She married the love of her life, Dale Gulbransen Sr., on February 15, 1945, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Wanda worked as an inspector at Schumackers for 5½ years, and as a Classroom Aide at Wheatfield Elementary for many years until she retired. She was a member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, the Alter Rosary Society and Ladies Sodality.
Wanda is survived by her children: Dale Jr. (Joan) Gulbransen, David (Anne) Gulbransen, Donald (Mary) Gulbransen, Patricia (Rex) Welch, Mary (David) Whitaker, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren and her caregiver for the past 3 years: ‘Tanya’ Stanka Lamborouva.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband: Dale Sr., 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, Wheatfield, Indiana. Mass will take place at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the church, with Father Paul Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church Cemetery, Wheatfield, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Masses and Food Pantry.
