Vivian Duttlinger

89 year old, Vivian Duttlinger of DeMotte, passed away on August 31, 2012, at her home with her loving family around her.

 

On November 24, 1922, Vivian was born to James J. & Frances (nee: Finley) Kearney in Chicago, Illinois. Vivian graduated from Francesville High School in 1939. She married the love of her life, Clarence Duttlinger on April 17, 1948, at St. Pat’s in Walkerton. Vivian worked as a mail carrier at the Wheatfield Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church.

 

Vivian is survived by her loving children: Clarence (Jan) Duttlinger Jr., Lois Cantwell, Ellen (Tom) O’Brien, Shirley (Frank) Olis, Paul Duttlinger, Don Duttlinger, Margaret (Greg) Bogner, & Mary (Larry) Cornett. Vivian loved her 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also, surviving are sisters: Elaine Jachim, Dorothy (Dick) Cline, and brother: Tom (Barb) Kearney, and sister-in-laws: Peggy Kearney and Emily Duttlinger.

 

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence, infant son: Larry, infant grandson, sisters: Patricia Cowger & Ursula Pratt, brother: Jim Kearney Jr., and brother-in-laws: George Jachim, John Cowger & Kenneth Pratt.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana, with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church in Wheatfield, with Father Paul Cochran officiating. Interment will take place at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jasper County Hospice & Sorrowful Mother Food Pantry.
