Victor L. Dobson

61 year old, Victor L. Dobson, of Remington, passed away September 19, 2024.

On September 21, 1962, Victor was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, to Barter and Dorothy (Shepherd) Dobson. He was a member of Rensselaer High School class of 1980 and graduated from Vincennes University in 1982 with and Associates degree in Law Enforcement. Victor married the love of his life, Carol Gilliland on June 22, 1985, in Rensselaer, Indiana. He worked as a Sheriff Deputy for Jasper County Sheriff Office and was a member of Operators Union Local 150. Victor enjoyed spending his time fishing and arrowhead hunting.

Victor is survived by his wife: Carol, children: Mitchell Dobson, and Sarah Britzke, grandson: Arlo Britzke, and siblings: Carter Dobson and Betty Dobson-Lamp.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents: Barter and Dorothy, and nephew: Joey Roorda.

Per Victor’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
