Vanessa Kay Miller

On Monday, July 31, 2023, Vanessa Kay Miller, 68, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

Vanessa was born on March 11, 1955 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Floyd and Myrtle (Richie) Miller. She attended school at Kniman School, Indiana School for the Blind, and graduated from Kankakee Valley High School in 1973.  Vanessa worked for Indiana Underground and Mayors Action Center as a service representative in Indianapolis. Vanessa loved to listen to music and loved her cats and dogs. 

Vanessa is survived by her brother: Vernon (Charlene) Richie, sisters: Bonnie (Bill) Huff, Connie (Mike) Bowman, as well as: many loving uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Myrtle Miller; a brother: Amos Richie and grandparents: Jason and Rachel Richie of Rensselaer.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A Service for Vanessa will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Per Vanessa’s wishes cremation will take place and burial will follow in the Richie Cemetery.
