Steve E Rucker

64 year old, Steven E. Rucker of DeMotte, passed away April 11, 2017.

On September 27, 1952, Steve was born to Lowell and Betty (Nicodemus) Rucker in Dixon, Illinois. Steve married Marilyn Kamminga-Byrom on July 20, 1996 at their home in DeMotte, Indiana. Steve was a truck driver for Hoekstra Transportation for 12.5 years. Steve enjoyed NASCAR. Steve loved his family & friends, and he enjoyed spending time with them.

Steve is survived by his loving family: wife: Marilyn, children: Shawn (Nerissa) Rucker, Sheri (Jim) Withers, Marilyn (Kirk) Lude, Joy (Hendrik) Hallie, Beth (Jerry) Bolen, Jim Byrom & Dawn Roberts, Heidi Lawley & Steven Babcock, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, mother: Betty, and sister: Barbara (Jim) Miller.

Steve was preceded in death by his father: Lowell, sister: Linda, and daughter: Jorja.

Memorial services for Steve will take place Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana with Pastor Ray MacKillop officiating. A time of fellowship and visitation will follow the service until around 5:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to be distributed between Steve’s favorite charities.
