Sherry Kusick

June 20, 1954 — January 11, 2023

Sherry Kusick, 68, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away peacefully from a hard one and a half year battle of Pancreatic cancer on January 11, 2023.

Sherry was born on June 20, 1954, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Walter and Marion Bachmeyer. She graduated from Mankato West High School in 1972. Shortly thereafter she married her husband of 50 years, Thomas Kusick. She worked at Johnson fishing for years until she spent the rest of her work years working at Scheels and Cub Foods, as a cashier.

Sherry and her husband joined U.S. Maps RV Volunteers, and moved into the RV to travel around the U.S. for four and a half years full-time, spreading God’s word through building churches and volunteering at camps. In her free-time, she spent hours, making jewelry, quilts, and lots of knitted and crocheted crafts. One of Sherry’s favorite things was to make new friendships with everyone wherever she went. Giving her a huge support group through her journey with cancer.

While Sherry loved her family and friends, she loved nothing more than her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Every morning you would find fer reading the Bible and spending time in his presence praying for family and friends. She looked forward to going home to be with the Lord.

Sherry Kusick is survived by husband: Thomas Kusick, daughters: Jenifer (Dalmer) Hanson, Amber Kusick, five grandchildren: Abby Hanson, Caleb Kusick, Lexi Kusick, Arleah Alexander and Taylon Alexander, three great-grandchildren: Tobii Kusick, Vanessa Kusick, Lilli Kusick, brother: Steve (Jan) Bachmeyer, and nephew: Keenan (Anne) Bachmeyer.
