Sarah Bailey

98 year old, Sarah Bailey of Wheatfield passed away on May 14, 2014 with her loving family around her.

On December 26, 1915, in Ball, Kentucky, William Henry and Polly (Napier) Messer welcomed Sarah into their family. Sarah married Seldon Bailey, and loved being a housewife and mother to their children.

Sarah is survived by her children: Julie Faye Howes, Haskell (Alma) Bailey, Edith (Mike) Hampton, Buford (Carol) Baily, Lorraine (Don ‘Punch’) Brown, Freda (Terry) Lawyer, 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sarah was preceded in death by her loving husband: Seldon, son: Clark, siblings: Rosie, Hiram, Aaron, Shaftner, Dewey, Hattie, Fred, Mack Cenava, Malcum, Dorothy, Orpha, and Woodrow.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, May 19, 2014, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Sarah will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Johnny Miller and Robert Rawlins.  Interment will follow in the Wheatfield Cemetery.
