Sandy Patrick

55 year old, Sandra “Sandy” Patrick of Wheatfield, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2015 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Surrounded by her family, Sandy succumbed to lung complications.

On March 31, 1960, Sandra was born to Charles and Genine (McCarty) Patrick. Sandra was a Kankakee Valley High School graduate, class of 1978. Sandra was a LPN who received her schooling at Ivy –Tech in Valparaiso, Indiana. Sandra married Raleigh Helton of Rensselaer on February 14, 1987. Sandy was passionate about her career as a nurse at Parkview Haven in Francesville, Indiana and the Rensselaer Care Center. She touched many lives as a Sunday School teacher at the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God, where she served as a member for many years.

Sandy is survived by her loving family children: Keith W. Patrick & Nichole Mehay, Janna N. (Darren) Hampton, grandchildren: Rider Trevisol, Max Patrick, Wyatt Hampton, her parents: Charles & Genine Patrick, companion: Raleigh Helton; siblings: Diane (Mike) Cleveland, Charles “Bub” (Cindy) Patrick, Beth (Bryan) Burke, many nieces and nephews, and her loving Jack Russell: Kandy.

Sandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, and one niece: Meagan Sahloff.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Sandy will take place on Monday, September 14, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God in Wheatfield, Indiana. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rensselaer, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
