Sam Wayne

65 year old, Sam Wayne of Wheatfield passed away August 16, 2010, with his loving family by his side.

On June 5, 1945, Sam was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Eugene Wayne and Maude (nee: Hale) Wayne. He graduated from Wheatfield High School, class of 1963. August 28, 1965, he married Diana Marlatt in Kniman, Indiana. Sam was employed for 35 years as a Steel Caster at Bethlehem Steel.

He is survived by his loving wife: Diana, 3 children: Michele Wilson, Jeff (Melissa) Wayne, Mike (Sheryl) Wayne, 6 grandchildren, 3 brother-in-laws:  David (Marcella) Marlatt, Jim (Lisa) Marlatt, and Daryl (Karen) Marlatt.

He was preceded in death by parents: Eugene and Maude Wayne, sister: Patricia Wayne, mother & father-in-law: Grace and Delos Marlatt, and brother-in-law: Dale Marlatt.

Friends are invited to visit with the family, August 20, 2010, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana.  Funeral services will take place at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2010 with Roger Sculley Officiating. Interment will take place at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
