Ruthene Bailey

68 year old, Ruthene Bailey, of Medaryville, passed away August 3, 2022.

Ruthene was born to Willie Miller and Mildred (Bailey) Miller-Bailey, in Salyersville, Kentucky. She married the love of her life, Mitchell Bailey, on August 17, 1970, in Jasper County, Indiana. Ruthene enjoyed being a housewife. She liked to cook, sew and crochet. Ruthene loved having her grandkids around and teaching them what she knew.

Ruthene is survived by her loving family: husband: Mitchell, children: Radie M. Bailey, Wendy Garcia, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, father: Willie Miller, siblings: Radie (Corleen) Miller, Wilma (Kenneth) Saylor, Marcus (Rhordora) Miller, Willie Miller, Sally (Marion) Landrum, Joyce (Danny) Wireman, Johnny (Rena) Miller, Bonda (Richard) Wetmore, and Christine (Scott) Donovan.

Ruthene was preceded in death by her mother: Mildred, and sister: Ethel Miller.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (CST-slow time) on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Ruthene will take place at the Boersma Funeral Home on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. (CST-slow time) with Pastor William Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Independence Cemetery, Medaryville, Indiana.
