Ruby Grace Koster

88 year old, Ruby Grace Koster, of DeMotte, passed away January 30, 2010 in Florida.

On September 16, 1921, Ruby was born to Lee L. and Mabel (nee: Crawford) Myers in Rensselaer, Indiana. She was a graduate in the class of 1940 from DeMotte High School. She married John Milton Koster on September 19, 1941 in DeMotte. Ruby was a homemaker.  John and Ruby had 4 children who survive: 1 son, Jerry (Susan) Koster, 3 daughters, Connie (Connie) Flick, Janice (Mike) Brummett, and Jennifer (Kenneth) DeKock, 10 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Lois Erwin, Hazel (Lewis) Crane, and Martha Sekema. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband John, grandson Chris Brummett, brother Ralph (Sister In-Law Sadie) Myers, Brother In-Law Neal Erwin. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Ruby will take place at the Boersma Funeral Home on Friday, February 6, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Lee Roy Hill officiating.  Interment will take place in the Holland Cemetery.
