Rosco Hilton

90 year old, Rosco Hilton, of DeMotte, passed away January 12, 2025, with loving family around him.

On October 14, 1934, Rosco was born to Norvin and Lucille (Stroup) Hilton, in Wheatfield, Indiana. On March 3, 1956, he married the love of his life, Patricia Schaefer. Rosco was a meat cutter at Hockney’s, Hanford’s, and Beckman’s IGA. He liked to collect arrowheads, and has quite a collection. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Rosco especially liked teaching his children and grandchildren how to hunt, fish, and trap. After retiring, he hauled grain for several farmers, until everything got too computerized.

Rosco is survived by his wife: Patricia, children: Rosco Jr. (Joan) Hilton, Lisa (Joe) Davis, Scott Hilton, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and two on the way, and siblings: Linda Maze.

Rosco was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Mary Lou, Nellie, ‘Bud’ Norvin Jr., Joyce, Pam, and Gordon.

Per Rosco’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
