Ronald E. Nabors

80 year old, Ronald E. Nabors of DeMotte, passed away June 16, 2017.

On November 28, 1936, Ronald was born to G.B. and Jessie (Smith) Nabors in Boaz, Alabama. On December 26, 1953, Ronald married the love of his life, Willetta Cockrell, in Corinth, Mississippi. Ron loved going to his grandchildren’s sports games and cheering them on, watching his ‘Sox’ team, feeding the birds and fishing.

Ronald is survived by his loving family, wife: Willetta, daughters: Paula (Garry) Wiltshire, and Jennifer (Shane) Howard, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers: Wendell (Rosella) Nabors, Jerry Nabors, Jimmy (Nancy) Nabors, sister: Mary Ella (DeWitt) Mullins, and sisters-in-law: Joan Nabors & Carol Nabors.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Mark Nabors, 1 brother: Julius Nabors.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Ronald will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Jeremy VanKley & Jared Mathison officiating. Interment will follow at the DeMotte Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Autism Foundation.
