Ronald M. Barnett Sr.

80 year old, Ronald M. Barnett Sr., of Rensselaer passed away September 29, 2016.

On November 1, 1935, in Salyersville, Kentucky Ron was born to Ollie and Irene (McCarty) Barnett. Ron married the love of his life Alice Faye Miller in Goodland, Indiana on December 7, 1954. Ron worked for Ford Motor Company at the Stamping Plant for 30 years. Ron enjoyed traveling all of the 50 states, working in his garden, especially his rose plants and golfing.

Ron is survived by his wife: Alice, sons: Ronald (Dawn) Barnett Jr., and Dennis (Katie) Barnett, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, brothers: James, Homer, Lloyd Von, sisters: Sandy, Amanda, & Sadra.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Dave Mitchell, Howard Mitchell, and Sandy Humphrey.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Ron will take place at 6:30 p.m. with Pastors Eveston Risner & Doug Griffith officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
