Roger G. Wampler

56 year old, Roger G. Wampler of DeMotte, passed away at his home on April 10, 2018.

On June 13, 1961, in Gary, Indiana, Roger was born to Roger H. and Beverly (Baron) Wampler. Roger was the owner of Wampler Works construction. He was a member of the Son’s of the American Legion Post #440 and ABATE. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family and friends at his second home in Golconda, Illinois. Roger enjoyed his special “girl talks” with his nieces.

Roger is survived by his family: son: Roger G. (Jennifer) Wampler Jr., father: Roger H. Wampler, 4 grandchildren: Hayley Wheeler, Damien Wampler, Emma Wampler, Wesley Wampler, 4 siblings: Doug (Sue) Giordano, Dave (Jennifer) Giordano, Gail (Tim) Thomas, and Kim (Ronnie) Hamstra and special friend: Crystal Reid and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother: Beverly.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the DeMotte American Legion Post #440, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Roger will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the legion on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 with Andrew Boersma officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Legion Auxiliary.

Per Roger’s wishes cremation will follow.
