Robert K Schanlaub

Robert ‘Rob’ Keith Schanlaub II, passed away in his home on September 9, 2024. Rob was a long-term resident of Rensselaer.

Rob was born in Lafayette, Indiana to Bob Schanlaub and Ora Allen on May 9, 1977. He attended Kankakee Valley High School, graduating in 1995; then attended Lincoln Technical Institute earning a degree in computer aided drafting. He owned several businesses in Rensselaer including: D&S Computers and 2 Bobs General Store.

Rob is survived by his parents: Bob Schanlaub and Ora (Jerry) Wolf, siblings: April (Brett) Wireman, Tim Schanlaub, and Denny (Jessica) Schanlaub, step-siblings: Joyce Howard and Jerry Wolf, nieces and nephew: Shea (Ryan) Coffing, Paityn Howard, Jori Howard, Jerzy Howard, Hailey Schanlaub, Ella Wireman, Caleb Schanlaub, and Paige Schanlaub.

Rob is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Bud (Patricia) Schanlaub, maternal grandparents: James (Mary) Pruitt and Morgan (Phyllis) Allen, and nephew: Chase Wireman.

A Celebration of Life for Rob is planned for Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm CST at the Faith Pentecostal Church of God, Rensselaer, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Per Rob’s wishes cremation will take place.
