Robert E. Jefferson

65 year old, Robert E. Jefferson of DeMotte, passed away August 6, 2016.

On July 25, 1951, Robert was born to Charles Sr. and Eva (Bellinger) Jefferson in Hobart, Indiana. Robert was a graduate from Kankakee Valley Schools. He was a mechanic by trade. He loved to watch old westerns and Star Trek and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Robert is survived by his best friend and mother of children: Cindy Jefferson, children: Robert (Vanessa) Jefferson Jr., Blaine (Christine) Jefferson, Curt (Tina Stevens) Jefferson, Dawn (Kenny Stanford) Jefferson, Joy Jefferson, 4 grandchildren, siblings: Vernon (Nikki) Jefferson, Charles (Myrna) Jefferson Jr., Sherry (Larry) Lonsberry, & Susan (Glen) Anderson.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Boersma Funeral Home. 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Graveside service will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the DeMotte Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
