Richard 'Dick' Hinch

71 year old, Richard ‘Dick’ Hinch, of Thayer, passed away July 12, 2023, at his home with his loving family around him.

Dick was born in Hammond, Indiana, on December 12, 1951, to Ninnis and Elsie Mae (Boyd) Hinch. He married the love of his life, Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ Hinch, on November 19, 1975, in East Chicago, Indiana. Dick worked at Inland Steel, as mobile maintenance. He always liked to work and he owned Hinch Water Works. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Dick is survived by his loving family: sons: Michael (Valerie) Hinch, Robert Hinch, 5 grandchildren: Brandon Mislan, Haley Todd, Megan Hinch, Danielle Hinch, Devin Hinch, fur babies: Killer and Baby, and siblings: Ed (Kim) Hinch and Bob (Jill) Hinch.

Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lupe, and his parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Richard will take place at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roselawn Cemetery.
