Richard A. Compton

62 year old, Richard A. Compton, of DeMotte, passed away February 9, 2023.

On May 30, 1960, Richard was born to John and Mildred (Myers) Compton, in Gary, Indiana. Richard was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School class of 1978. Richard worked in hospital equipment delivery. He enjoyed fishing.

Richard is survived by his sons: Tim Compton, Jacob Compton, Josh Compton, mother: Mildred Compton, and siblings: John (Cindy) Compton, Steve (Joanne) Compton, Sue Burke.

Richard was preceded in death by his father: John Compton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Roselawn American Legion Post from 11:00 a.m. to 4-5:00 p.m.

Per Richard’s wishes cremation will take place.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for the family.
