Raymond 'Bud' Risner

73 year old, Raymond L. ‘Buddy’ Risner, of Rensselaer, passed away at his home with his loving family around him on November 12, 2016.

On August 18, 1943, in Rensselaer, Indiana, Buddy was born to Raymond and Beulah (Stepp) Risner. Buddy was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from Tefft High School and married the love of his life. Joyce Davis on April 17, 1971. Buddy worked for the Operating Engineers Local 150, as a foreman and running heavy equipment for 50+ years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at Wheatfield and Medaryville.

Buddy is survived by his family: wife: Joyce, children: Elisa (David) Williams, Kristy (Mike) Stowers, Chip (Jamie) Risner, 10 grandchildren: Jake, Wade & Reece Williams, Shelby, Morgan, Maci, & Rhaysen Risner, and Gage, Grant, & Elia Stowers, siblings: Shannon (Carol) Risner, Jean (Bob) McCurdy, and Elsie Beiswanger.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Buddy will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Foundations of Dementia Care/Alzheimer’s Association.
