Raymond E. Campbell

Raymond E. Campbell, age 82, of San Pierre, passed away August 27, 2015 after a long battle with COPD.

On August 20, 1933, In Rensselaer, Indiana, Raymond was born to Ernest and Dorothy (Timmons) Campbell.  On November 27, 1944, in Rensselaer, Indiana, Raymond married the love of his life Maudlene Manns. Raymond served in the US Army in Germany. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #642. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights retiring after 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, horseshoes, ice-skating to name a few hobbies. Everyone will remember his sense of humor and jokes, and mowing his yard.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife: Maudlene; 3 daughters: Pam Strimbu, Debra DeVries, Sheri (Jim) Marks; 4 grandchildren: Stephanie (Jared) Arnett, Christopher Krulik, Ashley Strimbu and Alan Strimbu; siblings: Forrest Campbell, Don Campbell, and Gerald Campbell.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Dorothy, brother: James Campbell and sister: Bethel Huff.

Per Raymond’s wishes cremation will take place.

Arrangements are being handled by Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana.
