Phyllis J. Stockman

86 year old, Phyllis J. Stockman of Chesterton passed away November 3, 2015 with her loving family around her.

On September 23, 1929, Phyllis was born in Wheeling, West Virginia to Phillip and Florence (Watson) Breiding.  She attended East Chicago schools. Phyllis married Walter Lee Stockman who preceded her in death. She was a housewife, affiliated with the Emmanuel Baptist Church, and a member of the Jolly 60’s.

Phyllis is survived by her loving children: Chester (Cindy) Stockman, Ronald (Nila) Stockman, Sheryl (Richard) Souza, Kenny (Patty) Stockman, Stephen (Kerri) Stockman, Dean (Lesley) Stockman, 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five sisters.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Hebron, Indiana. Services for Phyllis will take place at the church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Frank McClure officiating. Interment will take place in the Hebron Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
