Phyllis J. Armstrong

89 year old, Phyllis J. Armstrong, of Indianapolis, formerly of Wheatfield, passed away on February 28, 2025, with her loving family around her.

On April 2, 1935, Phyllis was born to Raymond and Daisy (Koepkey) Button, in Francesville, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Charles Armstrong, in May of 1953, in Rensselaer, Indiana. Phyllis worked as a cook, who enjoyed cooking not just for work but also for her family. She loved to spend time in her garden, canning, going fishing with Charles, and butterfly watching.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Steven (Lisa) Armstrong, Terri Armstrong, Mike (Emily) Armstrong, Jim Armstrong, Karena Alvarez, Chris Armstrong, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Charles, daughters: Lori Armstrong, Patricia Armstrong, sister: Linda, and brothers: Harold, Donald, and Phillip.

Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. (CST) on March 7, 2025, at the Wheatfield Cemetery, 12401 N St. Rd. 49, Wheatfield, Indiana, 46392. She will be laid to rest next to her dear husband, Charles.
