74 year old, Paul Edward Wireman, of Wheatfield, Indiana passed away on October 13, 2018 at his residence unexpectedly. He moved to Indiana from Salyersville, Kentucky at the age of 4 years. He was the son of the late George and Pokie (Hale) Wireman and was born on December 18, 1943, in Salyersville, Kentucky. On September 5, 1962 he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Carol Oliver. He worked for Inland Steel, for 41 years. He was a timid man who loved basketball and was known as Uncle Basketball or Mr. Basketball by many. Traveling from town-to-town for a good game. He had a passion for his Pug “Chance” and loved yard work. His family meant the world to him. He will truly be loved and missed by all.
Paul is survived by his wife: Carol, children: Eddie Wireman, Paula (Larry) Hoffman, Angela Ready, Andrea Lara, Ryan (Cindy) Wireman, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings: Easter Taylor, Ballard Wireman, and Lucille (Jeff) Justice, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Allen, sisters: Goldie (Press) Shepherd, Betty Howard, Gladys Wireman, Barbara Ellen Wireman and infant twin sisters.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield. Services for Paul will take place at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, with Pastor Keith Frizzell officiating.
Cremation will follow.
