Paul A, Bailey Sr.

72 year old, Paul A. Bailey Sr. of Wheatfield passed away August 2, 2011 with his loving family around him.

 

On March 24, 1939, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, Paul was born to Wiley and Martha Mae (nee: Hopkins) Bailey. Paul graduated from Medaryville High School in 1958. Paul served in the United States Army                     

 

Paul married Jeanette Baker on November 28, 1959, (who prededed him in death). Paul married Helen Finney Parker in Wheatfield on July 10, 1998.

 

Paul was a tool & dye maker for Ford Motor Company for 31 years, he retired in 1991. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #642 of Wheatfield, Orak Shrine of Michigan City, Wheatfield American Legion Post 406, the Posse, and served as Town Marshall and Judge for the Town of Wheatfield for several years.

 

Paul is survived by: wife: Helen, children: Paul Jr. (Angela) Bailey, Sheila Bailey, Wiley (Laura) Bailey, Melissa Bailey, James (Connie) Bailey, James (Melissa) Parker, Shannon (Chad) Helton, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

Paul was preceded in death by his first wife: Jeanette (Baker) Bailey, 2 grandsons: George Aaron Sturma and Scott Aaron Bailey, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, August 5, 2011, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. A masonic service will take place at 7:00 on Friday evening. Services for Paul will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Helton officiating. Interment will take place in North Judson, at the Highland Cemetery.

 

Memorials are requested to be given to: Shriner Children’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
