Pamela Hershman

78 year old, Pamela R. Hershman, of Rensselaer, passed away October 19, 2022, at IU Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis.

Pamela was born on March 2, 1944, in Rensselaer, Indiana, to Norvin and Lucille (Stroup) Hilton. She married the love of her life, Thomas Hershman, on September 9, 1961, in Wheeler, Indiana. Pam enjoyed being a farm wife, housewife, mother and grandmother. Pamela and Thomas were baptized together and are members of Medaryville Christian Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and VBS. She also enjoyed entertaining and event planning.

Pam is survived by her husband: Thomas, children: Victoria (William Jr.) Griffey, Japamela (Jeff) Van Oort, and Rebecca (Kelly) Nelson, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, siblings: Roscoe (Pat) Hilton, Linda Maze.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Gordon Hilton, Bud Hilton, and sisters: Mary Lou, Nellie, and Joyce.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Medaryville Christian Church, Medaryville, Indiana. Services for Pamela will take place at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Medaryville Christian Church, Medaryville, Indiana with Pastor Wes Raley officiating. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
