Nora Peregrine

79 year old, Nora J. (Stalbaum) Peregrine, of Tefft, passed away August 26, 2008 with her loving family at her side. On October 13, 1928, she was born in Chesterton to Vincent and Faye (nee: Fleming) Stalbaum. She was a Tefft Tiger graduate. On June 18, 1949 she married Malcolm Peregrine in Tefft. She was employed as a Postmaster for Tefft USPS for 20 years. Nora enjoyed the fellowship of the Tefft United Methodist Church. Nora was a driving force behind the Tefft High School Alumni.

Nora is survived by her children: Randy (Renee) Peregrine, Debbie (Rex) Hively, Kathleen Peregrine & her friend Dean Warran, 4 grandchildren Jennifer (Dan) Kaluf, Stephanie Hyatt, Erica (Seth) Unger, Danielle (Mike) Mulder, 5 great-grandchildren Keirsten, Derek, Kohle, Kaidin and Abby. Brothers: Howard (Shirley) Stalbaum, Delos (Alice) Stalbaum.                Sister: Nancy Zuppe

Nora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Malcolm Peregrine, 1 grandchild, Andrea Hyatt, and 3 brothers.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Nora will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tefft United Methodist Church with Rev. Al Smith officiating. Interment will take place at the San Pierre Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Jasper County Hospice.
