Nelson R. Wilder

35 year old, Nelson R. Wilder, of Wheatfield, passed away October 13, 2021.

Nelson was born on September 30, 1986, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Nelson graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, class of 2005. He married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Hamstra on June 7, 2008, at Hamstra Gardens in Wheatfield, Indiana. Nelson was an Industrial Sales Account Manager for Walter Scheid, Inc. He was a member of Bethel Church in Crown Point, Indiana, where he was very active with the Praise Team.

Nelson is survived by his family: wife: Jacquelyn, children: Gracie and Caleb, siblings: Scot Wilder, Abigail (Craig) Antkowiak, and Hannah Wilder, parents: Wayne Wilder and Wendy Van Bruggen-Przybylski, grandmother: Jane Grecula, grandparents: Wes & Judy Van Bruggen, mother & father-in-law: Gary & Karen Hamstra, sister-in-law: Jamie (Jeff) Schepel, 2 nephews: Luke & Levi, grandparents-in-law: Wilbert & Peggy Hamstra.

Nelson was preceded in death by his grandfather: Billy Wilder.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the Bethel Church, 10202 Broadway, Crown Point, Indiana. Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the church with Pastor Dan Jacobsen, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel Church for the Century Worship Group.
