Nelson Jabaay

91 year old, Nelson Jabaay, of DeMotte passed away December 14, 2018.

On March 11, 1927, Nelson was born to John and Ann (VanderVliet) Jabaay in Lansing, Illinois. Nelson graduated from DeMotte High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and sang in the Blue Jackets Choir. He married the love of his life, Anne Klip on March 11, 1947, in DeMotte, Indiana. Nelson was a self-employed business owner, organist and organ consultant.

Nelson is survived by his children: Barbara, Mark (Sheila), 4 grandchildren: Michael, Matthew (Regina), Nicole, Sarah (Mike), Chris, and 2 great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Max, sister: Joyce, sister-in-laws: Carol Klip, Geraldine Jabaay, and many nieces and nephews.

Nelson was preceded in death by: wife: Anne, parents: John & Ann, grandson: David, 3 brothers: Donald, Lester, and Raymond.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the First Christian Reformed Church, DeMotte. Services for Nelson will take place at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Laryn Zoerhof officiating. Interment will follow at the Holland Cemetery.
