90 year old, ‘Aunt’ Mary K. Pescetto, of DeMotte, passed away April 30, 2021, at Oak Grove Christian Village.
On September 16, 1930, Mary was born to Robert J. Nixon Sr. and Wilhelmina (Camp) Nixon, in Peoria, Illinois. Mary was married to the late Anthony “Tony” Pescetto. She attended the DeMotte United Methodist Church. Mary loved to baby sit little children, cook, clean, and especially going to rummage sales. Mary liked to play bunko and gin rummy. She loved to do word finds.
‘Aunt’ Mary is survived by siblings: Joan Carfello and Jane Luciani, and many nieces and nephews, including Vicki (Mike) Drzik formerly of Wheatfield, Valerie (Larry) Cicolini of Lansing, Suzi (Adam) Howard, Kaci & Alex Drzik, Nancy Nixon, Lori (Jeff) Quilici, Scott (Deann Gladwell) Carfello, and Cathy (Pete) Walters,
Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Sr. and Wilhelmina Nixon, husband: Tony, and siblings: Walter Nixon, Jack Nixon, Robert Nixon Jr.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Boersma Funeral Home, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mary will take place on Sunday at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Ed van Wijk officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for Best Friends Animal Society or Jasper County Animal Shelter.
