Mary 'Jackie' Ester

74 year old, Mary ‘Jackie’ Ester, of DeMotte passed away June 20, 2012 at VNA Hospice of Valparaiso.

On July 27, 1937, Jackie was born in Aniston, Alabama. Jackie graduated from Coco Solo, Canal Zone, in Panama. She returned to the states to work at Illinois Bell Telephone. She enjoyed being a homemaker and listening to Bluegrass Music.

She is survived by her loving husband: Walt Ester, children: Darrell (Gina) Patton, Brenda (John) Sterk, Mike (Beth) Patton, and Connie (William) Flatt, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, and sister: Pattie Resheter.

Jackie was preceded in death by: her mother: Lorene Taake, and her brother: Edward Taake.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, IN. Services for Jackie will take place at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 with Pastor Rick Helton officiating.

Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana.
