Mary Anderson

Mary Anderson, 92, of DeMotte, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 11, 2020.

Mary was born August 26, 1928 to Daniel and Helen (Rebar) Ralich in Indiana Harbor, Indiana. Mary married the love of her life, Don Anderson Sr. on October 25, 1947 in Chicago, IL. She worked as a cook at DeMotte Elementary for 20 years, and was a woman who would not let anyone leave her house hungry. She loved to cook and to bake and she loved to take care of her family. She worked with her sister Shirley for years running a wedding catering business.

Mary is survived by her loving family: her children: Donald (Sue) Anderson Jr., Dan Anderson, Dale Anderson, Tammy Smith, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, her brothers: George and Mike Ralich, sisters: Billie Muraida, and Shirley Lupia.

Per Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place.
