Marjorie Frances Dillabaugh

Born August 23, 1929 in Decker, Indiana, to Eldon and Frances (Snyder) Ready. Died November 1, 2022 at home in Hebron, Indiana at the age of 93 surrounded by her children. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma.

Marge enjoyed traveling with her husband. They traveled to Israel and to Arizona in the winters. She enjoyed many trips with her daughters, traveling to Europe, Jamaica, Cancun, Florida and many cruises.

Music was a big part of her life especially in her younger years, her dad being a band director. She played a few instruments and sang 4-part harmony with her 4 brothers and they were known as the “Singing Ready’s”. They performed at weddings, funerals and in a weekly radio program with their dad.

Marge had a strong faith in God and lived out that faith daily. She was a forgiving person and showed her family what unconditional love truly is. She gave grace to all she knew, leaving her family feeling truly cared for and with a strong sense of belonging. Her life was characterized by contentment.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lynn Dillabaugh, her son (only by 2 hours) Donald J. Dillabaugh, and her brothers William Ready, Richard Ready and Robert Ready.

She is survived by her brother Wayne Ready, her children, Debby Sands; Dan (Peggy) Dillabaugh; Dianne (Roger) Powell; Donna (Bill) Elrod; Sharon (Jeff) Piatt; daughter-in-law: Debra Dillabaugh; 26 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Community Bible Church, DeMotte, Indiana.

Services for Marjorie will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Faith Fellowship Church, 84 S 500 W, Valparaiso, Indiana, with Pastor Rodney Tolleson officiating.

Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Crown Point, Indiana
