Marjorie Craig

86 year old Marjorie “Grace” Craig passed away April 7, 2005, at Porter Memorial Hospital with her loving family around her.  On September 3, 1918 she was born to Leonard and Sarah (nee Smithers) Tudor in Goodland, Indiana.  She graduated from Rosevelt High School in Chicago, Illinois.  She married James Marion Craig on June 19, 1936.  She enjoyed being a housewife and lived in the Wheatfield area for over 30 years.  She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of North Judson were she played the piano.

She is survived by her 4 sons:  Kenneth (Elenor) Craig and James (Sallie) Craig both of North Judson, Robert (Donna) Craig of Valparaiso, and Bradley (Brenda) Craig of San Pierre, 3 daughters:  Marjorie (Homer) Howard of Valparaiso, Barbara (Chris) Whitaker and Terri (Craig) Whitaker both of Wheatfield,  24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, 1 Sister Naomi Borwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband James, 1 daughter Marion Holbrook ,1 brother Ivan Tudor, 2 sisters Juanita Ashby and Margaret Bailey.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, April 9, 2005 from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield.  Services will be held at  2:00 P.M. Sunday April 10, 2005 at the 1st Free Will Baptist Church of North Judson, with Rev. Tim Doss officiating.

Internment will follow in the Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the 1st Free Will Baptist Church.
