Madalyn 'Maddy' Butler

80 year old, Madalyn C. ‘Maddy’ Butler, passed away January 11, 2025, with her loving family around her.

On June 11, 1944, Maddy, was born to Oscar and Martha (Eckert) Lund, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She married the love of her life, William ‘Bill’ Butler, on April 6, 1965. She worked for HR Block, and was a DeMotte postal mail carrier. Maddy enjoyed playing bingo, going on motorcycle rides, and bowling.

Maddy is survived by her loving family: children: William ‘Buddy’ (Amy) Butler, Connie Butler, and 3 grandchildren: Kieran Bailey, Alexis Lemus, Haley Lemus, and sister-in-laws: Kathy Lund and Irene Butler.

Maddy was preceded in death by her husband: William ‘Bill’, parents, siblings: Leonard Lund, John Lund, and Luellen Lund.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Maddy will take place on Saturday, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Deacon Joe Van Schepen officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
