Mac Quigley

84 year old, Mac Quigley, of Wheatfield, passed away May 21, 2022 from a broken heart.

 

On March 13, 1938, Mac was born, to James Quigley and Hazel (Goodpastor) Pound in Porter County, Indiana. Mac was raised by Ed and Coyla Albin. Mac was a Tefft Tiger, and graduated from Tefft High School class of 1956. He married the love of his life, Tressa M. Risner on November 7, 1959.

 

Mac also served in the US Army from 1962-1964, serving in South Korea, He was a self-employed farmer. Mac served on the Kankakee Valley School Board for many years. He was a member of the Tefft United Methodist Church. Mac’s favorite thing to do while retired, was to drive around occasionally visiting the local elevator, gun club, coin collectors, and the local undertaker.

 

Mac is survived by his daughter: Michele (Richard) Lewis, siblings: Patricia Walters, Nancy O'Blenis, and Lewis (Peggy) Quigley.

 

Mac was preceded in death by his wife: Tressa, and his parents.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mac will take place Friday evening at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Patterson and Terry Risner officiating.

 

Per Mac’s wishes cremation will take place and interment will take place at a later date at the Kankakee Township Cemetery.
