Mabel Griffiths

78 year old, Mabel Griffiths of Lake Village, passed away at her home, January 30, 2019 at her home with her loving family around her.

On February 16, 1940, in Salyersville, Kentucky, Mabel was born to Lonzie Sr. and Oriole (Humphrey) Auxier. Mabel was a cook at Frankie’s and a member of the Women’s Aux American Legion Post #238 in Roselawn.

Mabel is survived by her children: Dale Auxier, Katrina Wright, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters: Vivian, Rellie, & Delorise, and many nieces and nephews.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Phyllis, Dalton, Lonzie Jr., and Sunny.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mabel will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 3, 2019 with Family and Friends officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Women’s Aux. American Legion Post #238 Roselawn.

Per Mabel’s wishes cremation will follow.
