86-year old, Lula Mae Drennan of DeMotte, formerly of Franklin Park, Illinois, passed away March 6, 2014, with her loving family around her.

 

On September 14, 1927 Lula Mae was born in Bedford, Indiana. Lula Mae married the love of her life John Albert Sr. on March 8, 1947 in Franklin Park, Illinois. She was a Postal Clerk for the U.S. Post Office in North Suburban, Illinois for 20+ years. She was also an avid gardener, enjoyed teaching and painting ceramics, along with camping and baking.

 

Lula Mae is survived by her children: Thomas (Laura) Drennan, Patricia Drennan, John (Sue) Albert Jr., Sharon (Russell) Huizinga, Timothy C. Drennan, Kathleen (Harvey) Fraley, Edmund C. Drennan, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, with 2 great-great-great-grandchildren due this spring, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Lula Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 sisters: Mary and Jamie Lynn.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Lula Mae, will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, at the Boersma Funeral Home with Rev. Jared Raebel officiating.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park, Illinois. Services for Lula Mae, will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, with Steven Dawson officiating.

 

Interment will take place at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.
