Lucinda M Baldauf

71 year old, Lucinda Baldauf, of Wheatfield, passed away January 24, 2025, at Franciscan Health St. Anthony, in Crown Point, Indiana.

On November 14, 1953, Lucinda was born to Wilbert Powers and Norma (Warfield) Cooper, in Gary, Indiana. Lucinda was a graduate of Griffith High School, class of 1972, and Shawnee Community College, class of 1994, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Baldauf on February 14, 2008. Lucinda was an artist who loved to paint, do sculpting, make gourd bird houses, and all sorts of crafts. She loved gardening and flowers, watching her Chicago Cubs, and listening to her favorite band, the Beatles. Lucinda was a joyful member of the Kankakee Valley Christian Church, where she was a part of the lady’s bible study group. Her happiest moments in life were when she was spending time with and loving her family and pets.

Lucinda is survived by her loving husband: Kenneth, children: Kammie Carmody, Tammy Baity, Robin (Greg) Schiavone, Kenneth (Allison) Baldauf, Daniel (Lauren) Baldauf, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings: Sandra Wiley, Guy (Ann) Cooper, Delana Powers, and her fur babies: dog: Lulu, and cats: Mama, Lil Mama, and Blackie.

Lucinda was preceded in death by her parents: Wilbert (Cathy) Powers, Norma (Wilbur) Cooper, and sisters: Terri Hawkins, Karen Brown, Sharon Brown.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Lucinda will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Adam Somers officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kankakee Valley Christian Church.
