Lorraine L. Barrera

84 year old, Lorraine L. Barrera, of Wheatfield, passed away January 7, 2019 with her loving family around her.

On August 30, 1934, Lorraine was born to Silivo and Teresina (Pellizaro) Buratto, in Chicago, Illinois. Lorraine married the love of her life, Joseph Barrera in Chicago, Illinois, back when marriage licenses were $5.00. Lorraine had an incredible love and passion in cooking food for family and friends, always ensuring everyone got enough to eat.

Lorraine is survived by her husband: Joseph Barrera and son: Jim (Gloria) Barrera, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother: Joseph Buratto, and daughter-in-law: Linda Barrera.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her: parents, son: Joseph, and sisters: Aida Evans, Enes Belligo, and brother: Burt Buratto.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1460 E St. Rd. 10, Wheatfield. There will be a memorial service followed by a lunch/dinner.
