Linda Melendez

76 year old, Linda B Melendez, of Wheatfield, passed away September 14, 2023, with her loving family around her.

On September 8, 1947, Linda was born to Rudolph and Blanche (Vasquez) Martinez. Linda attended Hammond High School, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo. She liked to cook. Linda enjoyed attending church conferences.

Linda is survived by her loving family: mother: Blanche Tapia, children: David (Valerie) Melendez, Michele (Bryan) Risner, Eva Melendez, Jessica Melendez, 4 grandchildren: Ryan (Ali) Melendez, Eryn (Wade) Misch, Alisyn Risner, Isabella DeBeneditto, and 2 great-grandchildren: Daniel Melendez and Drake Melendez, siblings: Rudy Martinez Jr., Rosita (Johnny) Elliott, Rita Martinez, and Monica Martinez-Puyear.

Linda was preceded in death by: husband: Daniel Melendez, father: Rudolph Martinez, and brother: Butch Martinez.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home. Services for Linda will take place at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Vest officiating. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
