Lewis Curt Martin

67 year old, Lewis ‘Curt’ Martin, of Wheatfield, passed away on May 18, 2023, at George Ade Memorial Health Care.

On December 19, 1955, Curt was born to George and Mary (Howard) Martin, in Crown Point, Indiana. He graduated from Crown Point High School, and he worked as a factory worker for many years. Curt enjoyed fishing and camping with all of his family. Some of his best memories were the camping and fishing trips with his cousins and uncles. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and looked forward to watching Sunday football with a beer.

Curt is survived by his children: Sara (Adam James) Martin, Melissa Martin, Rachel (Daniel) Smith, six grandchildren: Josh, Eli, Mackenzie, Isabel, Abigail, Emma, 2 great-grandchildren: Will and Mylah, and siblings: Steve (Jackie) Martin, Vicki (Mike) Owens, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents: George and Mary Martin, and uncle Kenny Howard.

Per Curt’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 4^th from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Brookside Park in Rensselaer, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for the family.
