Lester W Tolleson

79 year old, Lester W. Tolleson, of Wheatfield, passed away April 13, 2022.

On March 20, 1943, Lester was born to Olen and Lilly (Whitfield) Tolleson in Jefferson, Texas. Lester was in the U.S. Army. He was a systems analysist, computer programmer for Kodak for 30+ years, and later worked at Life Action Ministries in Niles, Michigan for 15 years. He married the love of his life, Barbara A. Rich on February 3, 1968, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended Community Bible Church. He loved the Lord, served in ministry, and encouraged people. He made his family his hobby. He was famous for his East Texas colloquialism, loved Blue Bell ice cream, Bodacious BBQ, and enjoyed gardening.

Lester is survived by his children: Rodney (Jenny) Tolleson, Karen Tolleson, grandchildren: Caleb, John (Margaret), Hudson, Andrew, Hope, and Faith, and brother: Davis Tolleson, great-grandson: James.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Betty Nell Talley.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Community Bible Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Lester will take place at the church at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Dobson officiating.

Interment will take place at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life Action Ministries, Buchanan, Michigan.
