Leonard Mak

81 year old, Leonard Mak, of DeMotte, passed away December 1, 2024, Northwest Health, Valparaiso, Indiana.

On March 9, 1943, Leonard was born to Peter and Ida (Whittenberg) Mak in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Fair Oaks Schools. Leonard served in the U.S. Navy. He married the love of his life, Janice Stein, on August 7, 1971, in Remington, Indiana. Leonard was an 150 Operator. He enjoyed photography, landscaping, taking photos of the buffalo at Yellowstone, and the mountains.

Leonard is survived by his wife: Janice, sons: Eric and Mike, siblings: Jeane Maier and Mary Sue (Bob) Groen.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Ida, sister: Debbie Curtis, and brother: Ron Mak.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Leonard will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Pastor ??? officiating. Interment will follow at the DeMotte Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Schriner’s Children’s Hospital.
