Laura M Sturgeon

61 year old, Laura M. Sturgeon, of Wheatfield, passed away suddenly April 20, 2022 at her home.

On March 29, 1961, Laura was born to James and Bertha (Altgilbers) Miehl, in Hammond, Indiana. She was a homemaker and caregiver.

Laura is survived by her children: Willie (Shantel) Sturgeon Jr., Michelle (Miguel) Valenzuela, James Sturgeon. She has several grandchildren that she loved very much and loved spending time with them as much as she could. She is survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Pam (Albert) Bond, William Scott, James Scott, Kathy Hudspath, and Theresa Scott. She was a member of the River Church in Morocco, Indiana.

Laura was preceded in death by her father: James Scott and mother: Bertha Miehl and her grandparents.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Laura at the Community Center, 9728 N 300 W, Lake Village from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28^th, 2022. There will be a small service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Groves officiating.
