Larry A. Hershman

63 year old, Larry Hershman, of Wheatfield, passed away December 27, 2022 at his home with his loving family around him.

Larry was born on October 21, 1959, to Leroy and Patsy (Pressel) Hershman in Valparaiso, Indiana. Larry worked for Merit Steel in Kouts as a crane operator for 20+ years. He married the love of his life, Helen Soley, on February 13, 1988. Larry loved deer hunting, collecting deer heads and antlers. He also like ducks, and birds. Larry also liked to read a lot as he was a history buff. He enjoyed studying planes too.

Larry is survived by his loving family, wife: Helen, children: Andrew (Marjorie) Hershman, Jennifer (Alex) Popoca, Tim (Brittany) Hershman, five grandchildren, and siblings: Terry (Donna) Hershman, Linda Pruitt, Garry (Aleta) Hershman, Lorie Hershman, Julie (Scott) Walstra, and brother-in-laws: George Soley, Stephen Soley, Joseph (Lindsay) Soley, Mary Ann Soley, and Michael (Lizzy) Soley.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Larry will take place at the church on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the DeMotte Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
