Laila Ann Hamstra

9 year old, Laila Ann Hamstra went to be with our Lord on May 22, 2017, from her home with her loving family around her.

Laila was born on May 2, 2008, in Lafayette, Indiana her parents are Jack and Angie (Ferguson) Hamstra. Laila was a second grader at Wheatfield Elementary School. Laila loved to take the school secretary’s job, and deliver passes to students. She also loved balloons! Laila especially loved riding on the school bus. She also loved the school library. Laila just loved life.

Laila is survived by her loving family: parents: Jack and Angie, siblings: Emma, Jackson, and R.J., grandparents: Thomas & Mary Kay Hamstra, Roger & Kathy Ferguson, many aunts & uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the DeMotte Christian School.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Tim Hester officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests balloons and memorials be made to a Scholarship fund in memory of Laila Hamstra at DeMotte State Bank.
