85 year old, Josephine Conley, of DeMotte, passed away August 3, 2018.
On September 13, 1932, in San Angelo, Texas, Josephine was born to John Sr. & Ada (Gore) Mills. Josephine played the violin for the Philharmonic Orchestra, in San Angelo, Texas. She also attended Hardin-Simmons University for 2 years. Josephine married the love of her life, Denny Conley in San Angelo, Texas on December 12, 1953. Josephine enjoyed being a substitute teacher at DeMotte Elementary and an Election Poll worker. She especially loved taking care of the children and grandbabies. She also enjoyed her hobbies of painting, sewing, cooking, gardening, canning, making jellies, feeding and watching the birds & squirrels. A favorite game that she enjoyed was Words with Friends!
Josephine is survived by her loving family: husband: Denny, children: Sharon (Russell) Hochstedler, Connie (Lyle) Bollin, Ellen (Thomas) Lundy, Ben (Kelly) Conley, 12 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother John Jr.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Josephine will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Elmer Conley officiating. Interment will follow at the Weston Cemetery, Rensselear, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.
