Johnny Ray Miller

67 year old, Pastor Johnny Ray Miller, of Rensselaer, passed away at his home, on June 29, 2024.

On November 12, 1956, Johnny was born to Fred and June (Miller) Miller in Knox, Indiana. Johnny married the love of his life, Donna Atwood, on July 13, 1974, in Hamlet, Indiana, which was his parent’s home. Johnny was a preacher at the United Baptist Church of Gillam Township ‘Bailey Corner.’ Johnny enjoyed fishing, gardening, and doing yardwork. He especially enjoyed his church, family, and friends.

Johnny is survived by his loving family: wife: Donna, children: Mary Ann Fort, Camella Lynn Miller, Johnny Ray Miller Jr., 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, father: Fred Miller, siblings: Earnestine (Bob) Becker, and Fred (Betty) Miller.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother: June, and brother: Mark Miller.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (CST-noon) on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the United Baptist Church of Gillam Township ‘Bailey Corner’ in Rensselaer, Indiana. Services for Johnny will take place at 12:00 p.m. (CST-noon) on July 5, 2024, at the church, with Preacher Terry Glovier officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery, North Judson, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
